Webwag forum available!
Apr 15th
Webwag is proud to announce the availability of the Webwag forum, both for users and developers!
Users will be able to share experience, submit ideas and suggestions, and of course, get help when needed.
The “developers’ corner” is fully dedicated to widgets development, both on Webwag mobile and Webwag.com.
This will be the place for developers to ask for help, find resources to get started, co-operate…
And the best of all, no particular development skills are needed, neither on the web side nor on the mobile side, thanks to our tutorials, API documentation and Webwag’s standards-based approach.

Why Webwag ?
Jul 24th
Why Webwag ? In real life we never put all our eggs in the same basket. Online users never put all their clicks in the same websites either. Our daily web experience is made up of hundreds of clicks and dozens of windows. Webwag was created to simplify all this into one single page. Moreover, the Webwag idea is to provide a clear picture in real-time and a single glance of all your accounts and sources of information; making it a vertical dashboard of your daily web experience. First you Google, then you what? Well, many things… and Webwag helps you gather all these things, and all the stuff you care about, into one place; all into your place. In real life, each place or brand has its own legitimacy. What about your online web experience? Think about it, it’s close to the same thing. You search with Google but you basically email with Hotmail and read the latest Wall-Street hot topics on Yahoo! Finance. Most users do not search with MSN nor shop with Froogle either. A vast majority of the Google fans will never use Live.com or a Google.com/ig. Why? First and foremost because the web experience is all about freedom of choice of the user.
Our Philosophy. Innovation is one of the most hype words in the Web 2.0 sphere. The simple Ajax-based start pages currently do not meet the founder core expectations: to Search and Find inside your web experience space. Webwag helps you to «wag» your web experience and to get the best use out of it. And that comes from a mix of your personalized page and your personalized search. Webwag is a tool which empowers its users. Drag and drop your widgets to meet your usability expectations and search inside your web experience. Think about the Minority Report movie picture when Tom Cruise drag and drops the video images on a virtual screen. Webwag is your virtual desktop and you will soon be able to search inside your web experience.
About Us. We are a group of people who want to offer each of you a live dashboard of your personal web experience, and then help you search inside it. Webwag is a young company, but not just another Ajax-based start page which gathers the Web 2.0 stuff all into one place. The Webwag you discover today is just the pick of the iceberg. Webwag is just starting up and we think that searching the web and YOUR web experience should improve your daily life soon.
Our founder, Franck Poisson, grew his teeth at AOL, Looksmart and Google. His early days at Google helped him to imagine Webwag. Our founder was the guy who launched the Google France operations office in early 2002.
The Developer’s Webwag Factory. We will soon encourage developers to play with our APIs (documentation coming soon, we promise!). Since there is no reason that the developers who create strong added-value widgets for the Webwagers are not rewarded, we have decided to offer 50$ / 50€ to the widget’s author each time the 100th installation is completed by a signed-in Webwager. The Webwag Factory will be the marketplace –an eBay-like place- for the Webwag developers. Our factory will help developers introduce themselves and show their coding skills and “savoir-faire” to the Webwag Community.
The Bottom Line. We believe it is now time to have your own online personal desktop and search engine for your web experience (this last feature is soon to be released; we are working hard this summer!). Until then, shape your web experience on your Webwag. This should only take 15 minutes. We think it’ll be the best 15 minutes you’ve spent online in a very long time.
